Shortly after finding out Wednesday night about Jimmy's passing, I read this horrible story. Talk about piling on to my shocked state!

I was rendered speechless for at least an hour. Any time I tried to speak - or even thought of speaking - the lump in my throat simply took over.

They  fired Imus yesterday.  I'm still not sure what I think about the entire debacle.  I agree with everyone else that what he said was beyond defense and the way he handled the outcry was less than stellar.  His comments were despicable and the Rutgers team didn't deserve any of his nastiness.

Like I said earlier, I didn't think there would be too many upsets this year.  Unfortunately, I'm already wrong on two of my four "major" upsets.  Glad Butler was able to hang on, though.  With so few upsets today, history as I recall it (and I could be way off) shows that tomorrow's going to be full of upsets.  We'll see if that holds true.

I always think it's funny when the announcers on the Selection Sunday show say that the committee tried to place the teams in pods as close to home as possible. Then they announce IU's draw and they always wind up playing in the West...usually in California. How is that as close as possible?
